STEM CELL THERAPY

Integrating Regenexx® Procedures into Comprehensive Pain Management.

Stem Cell Therapy in Phoenix, Peoria, Scottsdale & Mesa

Mountain View Headache & Spine Institute × Regenexx® — image-guided, research-minded orthobiologic care.

What we mean by “Stem Cell Therapy”

At Mountain View Headache & Spine Institute (MVHSI), “stem cell therapy” refers to same-day procedures using your own bone marrow concentrate (BMC)—processed and precisely injected under imaging to target the true source of pain. Regenexx describes this as Regenexx-SD, a same-day protocol in which bone marrow (which contains stem cells) is harvested and reinjected to orthopedic targets.

MVHSI is a licensed Regenexx network location in Phoenix, aligning our evaluation, processing, and image-guided injection standards with the Regenexx platform.

How it works (start to finish)

  1. Candidacy & evaluation
We review history, exam, and imaging to pinpoint pain generators (disc, facet, ligament, joint). If appropriate, we discuss BMC alongside other orthobiologic options. Regenexx procedures are designed to use your own cells—from blood or bone marrow—delivered with ultrasound/fluoroscopy for accuracy.

  2. Same-day harvest & reinjection
During Regenexx-SD, bone marrow is drawn, processed into a concentrated injectate, then placed precisely into the target structures the same day.

  3. Recovery & return to activity
Most cases are outpatient with limited downtime; your clinician pairs activity guidelines with follow-up to support function and healing. (Timelines vary by condition.)

Conditions we commonly address

  • Spine: degenerative disc disease, facet-related pain, spinal stenosis, and related neck/lower-back pain

  • Joints & soft tissue: shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, hand/wrist, foot/ankle
Our Phoenix Regenexx pages outline non-surgical options throughout the spine and major joints and reflect our image-guided approach.

What we inject (and what we don’t)

  • Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC): autologous bone-marrow–derived concentrate that contains stem cells; used in Regenexx-SD as a same-day procedure.

  • Platelet options (adjacent or alternative): platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet lysate (PL) may be used alone or in staged plans when clinically appropriate.

Not amniotic “stem cells.” Regenexx has shown that commercial amniotic/birth-tissue vials marketed as “stem cells” do not contain live stem cells after processing and shipping; we do not use those products.

Language matters: why we’re precise about terms

Although BMC contains stem cells, Regenexx cautions against loosely calling everything a “stem cell procedure,” because that term has been co-opted by sellers of birth-tissue products and can mislead patients. We follow Regenexx’s evidence-minded language and patient education.

Why choose Mountain View × Regenexx

  • Targeted, image-guided care that aims at the actual pain generator
  • Same-day, autologous orthobiologics (no donor tissue)
  • Non-surgical options that fit within a comprehensive pain-management plan
  • Local access in Phoenix with care for patients across Peoria, Scottsdale, and Mesa

MVHSI appears on the Regenexx location network, and our Phoenix pages outline the same image-guided, non-surgical approach you’ll receive in clinic.

Evidence snapshot (selected)

Regenexx regularly discusses peer-reviewed literature and registry outcomes related to BMC and orthobiologics, including data points in spine and joint care; we use these insights to guide candidacy and planning. (Results vary; not all patients or conditions are appropriate.)

FAQs

Is this right for me?
Possibly—after a full evaluation. Some cases call for PRP or PL instead of BMC; others are better served by non-injection therapies or surgical consults.

How is this different from “amniotic stem cells”?
We don’t use marketed amniotic/birth-tissue “stem cell” vials; evidence shows they lack live stem cells post-processing.
